Sara Bareilles - She Used to Be Mine

So I fucking love this song and the way its sung in this particular video and i’m resharing because even though it’s about a pregnant woman who’s lost her way, I just realized how much broader the theme of the song is, and how it could apply to people with depression or lived an experience that’s made them feel like they don’t recognize the person they see in the mirror any more and that is just so god damn beautiful and relatable in so many ways and now the song has such fresh, new meaning for me now excuse me while I go sob.

All the couples too in love to care. Then you’ll see it - a bit of yourself in everyone. And somehow, sitting alone in a coffee shop had never felt so good."

"Living like you’re dying isn’t living at all.
Give me your cold hands put them on my heart.
Raise a glass to everyone who thinks they’ll never make it through this life
To live a brand new start”
